Many developers run or develop their own blogs for various reasons. Some may think that developing a blog is a common and ordinary task. However, the main reason I created 'Bilog' is that I could not find the features I wanted in existing blog platforms.
Sharing opinions in Korean with Koreans is a rare opportunity for developers who can use Korean globally, and the number of Korean developers who use English is also very small. I wanted to share opinions with both Koreans and foreigners simultaneously, so I needed a global blogging platform that could accommodate both languages. As a result, I decided to create 'Bilog' myself.
I wanted to implement the features I desired. I wanted to communicate with various developers in both Korean and English and share my problems and solutions as 'my own problem', seeking deeper communication.
I wanted a project that was not someone else's or a company's, but 'my' project. One of the main driving forces for developers to study daily comes from their own projects. By creating and developing 'my' project, I was able to immerse myself with better motivation every day.
CRUD API, i18n, search, pagination... Even with simple and common problems, I wanted to solve them not just with my head, but through code. Problems that I hadn't thought of, or only imagined, and solved, change my attitude when I face them later. By solving even common problems myself, I wanted to develop and improve myself.
